Section 2.6

We have come to the end of Section 2.6 before moving on to derivatives and rates of change. As you know, I like to end each section by posting a few proofs and/or problems that I just don't know how to solve. I don't understand how to do part (a). See my work for part (b).

part a.

salt after t minutes = 30*25*t
water after t minutes = 5000+25t
compute concentration= C(t)= (30*25*t)/(5000+25t)

C(t)=(30*25*t)/(5000+25t).........simplify
=(30*25*t)/(25(200+t))
=(30t)/(200+t)-> proven

part b. correct
