    Two planes leave Kansas City at 1 in the afternoon. Plane A heads east at 450 mph and Plan B heads due West at 600 mph. How long will it be before the planes are 2100 miles apart?

    Let me see.

    Plane A:

    rate = 450 mph

    time = x

    Plane B:

    rate = 600 mph

    time = x

    Set Up:

    450x + 600x = 2100

    Yes?
