    Find a mathematical model
    for the verbal statement.

    40. V varies directly as the cube of l.

    Let me see.

    V = k(I^3)

    42. h varies inversely as the square root of s.

    Solution:

    h = k/sqrt{s}

    44. z varies jointly as the square of x and the cube of y.

    Solution:

    z = k(x^2y^3)

    You say?
