    Section 2.1
    (5 - 8)

I say graph (a) describes function 6. As we can see, (x + 1), means to move the parabola one unit left. Of course, - 2, means to move the graph down 2 units.

I say graph (b) describes function 5. As we can see, y = x^2 is moved down 2 units.

I say graph (c) describes function 7. I know that
(x - 4) means to move the parabola 4 units to the right. The negative in front means to inverse the function.

Of course, we can safely say graph (d) matches with function 8.

    You say?

By the way, I learning a lot of math with your help. We both know that all this work is just for fun and to keep the brain functioning. Too late at 56 to be a math teacher.
