    Section 1.5
    Questions 85 & 86

    See attachment.

    Question 85

    L = x-coordinate - function value of x

    L = 2 - cuberoot{2y}

    I can also express answer as a fractional power of x.

    L = 2 - (2y)^(1/3)

    Question 86

    L = x-coordinate - function value of x

    L = (1/2) - (2/y)

    I can also express the answer as a single algebraic fraction.

    L = (y - 4)/(2y)

    You say?

    This set of problems is preparedness for Calculus 1.
    Yes? I see the integral symbol in the upper left hand corner of picture.

    the integral symbol means, integration is used to find the area of that figure made by curve, vertical and horizontal line (colored in blue)

    Well, I am far away from integration. Don't get me wrong. I can do basic Calculus 1 Integration but nothing beyond that.
