    Section 1.9
    Question 90

    Note: Skipping Part (b)

    Part (a)

    y = 0.03x^2 +245.50

    x = 0.03y^2 +245.50

    (x - 245.50)/(0.03) = y^2

    sqrt{(x - 245.50)/(0.03)} = sqrt{y^2}

    sqrt{(x - 245.50)/(0.03)} = y

    Correct?

    Part (c)

    Is this the right set up?

    500 = 0.03x^2 +245.50
    I must then solve for x. True?

    Very good. Humidity is back in the city. I despise the summer months.
