    How silly of me to forget the basics. I am thinking about learning calculus 1 after precalculus. Am I truly ready?

    In your previous "decomposing fractions" post, you accepted writing the given fraction as the sum of two fractions. If that is what you mean, 6/x= 1/x+ 5/x= 2/x+ 4/x= 3/x+ 3/x.
